Hey everyone.  My name is Laura Bufkin.  I am founder and lead investigator for HubCity Paranormal located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Our group has been around for about a year now.  About a year or so ago I met Rob and Tony and started chatting with them on the xing chatroom thing they had at the time.  They have helped me tremendously and have been wonderful mentors for me as I started this new journey of paranormal investigating.  I have been interested in the paranormal all of my life and decided I wanted to give this a try.  I am also a music production student at the University of Southern Mississippi so it's been a little tough juggling my time.  I have been on quite a few investigations and "paranormal adventures".  I have experienced some really incredible things and am absolutely hooked.  Every chance my group and I have to investigate we jump.  I am very excited about the future of HubCity Paranormal.  I get at the least 1-3 emails a week from people interested in joining the group.  After I graduate in December from USM, I plan on devoting a lot more time to this group and organize monthly meetings and hopefully get the opportunity to hunt some ghosts!  More to come.... Be on the look out for us!!   Afro

Laura, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a successful group going there.

I am pretty familiar with the University that you attend. Back in 2002, my son who is now a college senior at UCF attended a summer program for gifted kids there in Marine Biology for 3 weeks. He was only 14 years old at the time and it was really hard for me to drop him off at Robert's hall. His name is Robert and he was just so excited about the name of his dorm.

I am looking forward to hearing more about your group and experiences. Post about some of your experiences when you can.

P.S. By the way, I loved all of the feral cats at your college.

Laura!  Welcome to the forums!  It's nice to see you here and in chat and in FaceBook, etc, etc.  It's really cool how someone as busy as you has taken on the responsibility of founder of HubCity Paranormal.  You have to really love this stuff to stick with it.  Kudos to you and welcome again!

Thanks all for the welcome.... I've been meaning to get on here for a while.  Ncry... My mother Mrs. Martha Bufkin actually taught some of those gifted studies programs during the summer there at USM.  Not sure if she was there at that time but maybe mention the name to your son...  I will get potential evidence I'd like you all to look at and stories posted up as soon as I can...  I want to give a big "good job" to everyone involved with designing and getting this site going.... It looks great and I believe will be a wonderful outlet for all of us to connect and share for years to come.   God Bless  Smiley

I called my son and mentioned your mom's name and it did not ring a bell. When my son attended the program, Frances A. Karnes was the director of the program. I remember having to call her because parents were not allowed to call their kids there, the students were also not allowed cell phones and my son did not call me after 7 days of being there. As you can imagine, I was freaking out.   police

She finally got a hold of my son and asked him to call us. When he did, he told us, he had not called because he was having too much fun there and kept forgetting.  Huh?  Cheesy

Thanks for the compliment on the site. I designed the entire forum section because Tony asked me to. Tony and Rob designed all of the other pages of the http://outcastparanormalsociety.com website. As you can see, some of those pages have not yet been completed yet but I am sure that they will be soon.
